Elianna Arvizu starts her morning slowly and with movement—usually taking a walk with her dog. This helps her ease into the day and sets the tone for everything that follows, she says.

Arvizu is currently training for her first half marathon. She didn’t see herself as a runner until she joined her boyfriend on his training runs when he took on the 13.1-mile distance. “I tried a half before and didn’t finish. Training with my partner helped me stick with it,” Arvizu says. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are her race-training days. “Running is such a mental challenge,” she says. “Starting is always the hardest part, but once I take that first step, everything clicks into place.”

For Arvizu, running isn’t about speed; it’s about being connected to her movement. “Brooks’ Glycerin Flex moves like an extension of my body—every step feels connected and natural,” she says. “The cushion and flex hit that perfect balance: soft where I need it, responsive where I push off. When the shoe moves with me, the run just flows.”

Movement looks different every day. Some days are slow, others are strong, but Arvizu always finds her rhythm. “I don’t think about making time to move. It’s just part of my day, part of my work, part of my life,” she says. “It’s part of my routine and my mindset, flowing naturally through the day.”
